MISSION
The mission of The Marin School Library and Information Sciences Center is to enhance our college prep curriculum by facilitating critical thinking, promoting information literacy, and encouraging an abiding passion for reading. Our library’s resources extend beyond the rich printed collection to include robust online resources as well as curricular collaboration to support our 21st century learners. We believe in cultivating curiosity, inspiring a lifelong love of learning, and fostering both empathy and global citizenship.
INFORMATION LITERACY
The cornerstone of The Marin School Library and Information Sciences Center is to be information literate; the ability to effectively access, evaluate, analyze, and utilize information across all media, platforms, and disciplines. In order to meet the demands of the 21st century, our students must be ethical and discerning researchers, users, and creators of information and knowledge.
RESOURCES
The Marin School Library and Information Sciences Center includes a collection of over 3,000 fiction and nonfiction titles, eBooks and audiobooks that reflect a range of interests, and current print and electronic reference materials.
