(She/Her)

After transferring from Syracuse University to Temple University to study Film and Media, I moved to the mecca of the film industry, Los Angeles, the month I graduated. I took a position with Freemantle Media (American Idol's production company) in their editing department where I quickly learned the ins and outs of the entertainment industry. While film production and theory have always been a love for me, I knew I wanted more out of a career. I decided to make a drastic change and took a position in Compton, CA as the director and teacher of a drug prevention program. When the grant money ended for that program, I switched gears and became the Director of Wellness at the YMCA of Santa Monica where I taught various classes in physical fitness and educational classes about health, mindfulness and well being.

In 2008, my husband took a job in San Francisco, and I knew it was time to choose my career path. Upon reflection, the main theme throughout my entire life was teaching. Once I became aware of that, it was crystal clear to me that I wanted to be a teacher. I immediately entered Dominican University's teaching program where I received my secondary education credential in Social Sciences. Before making my home at TMS in 2011, I had the pleasure of teaching at Redwood high school and Terra Linda high school.

When I am not teaching or spending time with my beautiful family, (Mike, Lydia and Benjamin), you can find me hiking, exploring various farmer's markets, listening to historical podcasts, gardening, or playing my favorite game, Heads Up!
