After graduating from the University of Oregon with a BA in Journalism and Communication, I naturally returned to my hometown of Sonoma, where I started a career in Public Relations at Sonoma Raceway as the Media and Community Relations Manager. Although I entered the raceway without prior motorsports knowledge or experience, I developed an organic excitement and passion for professional motorsports racing.
My role in the Media and Public Relations department was an amalgamation of different jobs. I enjoyed wearing many different "hats" because it allowed me the opportunity to discover a new interest in education as part of my role in supporting the raceway's STEM program and leading tours of the facility to high school students.
After nearly five years in the motorsports industry and a new interest, I decided to transition my career into the education sector. I am excited to join The Marin School team in the Admissions and Communications department and contribute to its outstanding efforts of providing individualized education in a collaborative learning environment.
My time spent away from TMS includes cycling through Sonoma and Napa's backroads, restoring antique furniture, and helping with my brother and father's commercial crab and salmon fishing business in San Francisco. Having completed the Escape from Alcatraz swim, I hope to one day compete in a full triathlon.
