(He/Him)

Working as the Director of College Counseling at The Marin School gives me the opportunity to support Students, Parents and Faculty as we all work together to help each student prepare for and plan their future after TMS. I have been fortunate to work in many different types of schools and in a number of roles. For the last 18 years I have been directing college counseling programs at independent schools in New York, Marin County and Switzerland.

I have been fortunate to have a broad education and opportunities to work in educational institutions. I graduated from St. John's College in Santa Fe with BA and concentrations in Math and Western thought. Later I went on to do graduate work in Psychology and ended up getting a MEd. in a joint program with the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools and the University of Hawaii Manoa. Along the way I have worked for UT Austin, and UCLA Extension teaching in their College Counseling Certificate Program.

My family and I returned to Fairfax this year after spending two years living in the Swiss Alps above Lake Geneva. It was a great experience which allowed us to easily travel and explore many parts of Europe. We were there living at a American Boarding School where I worked as their Director of University Advising. My daughter, who graduated, and my son both loved the mountain, the travel and of course the skiing.

I had learned many things about The Marin School during the 10 years I spent working at San Domenico School and had always been impressed by the connection the students have with each other and the faculty. What I learned in my just my first few days of working with seniors is that the students are also kind and look out for each other. I am excited to continue to add to this great community.
