Ghana

Ye Ko Ghana, West Africa

Summer 2011!

The Marin School has been traveling to West Africa since 1999.  Every other summer, Keith Hubert, TMS math teacher, leads students on a three week trip across Ghana visiting its people and viewing its remarkable landscapes, plants and animals.   Prior to joining TMS, Keith lived and worked in Ghana, teaching for the Peace Corp.  Because he knows the country and its people, students experience and learn to appreciate the daily life in Ghana.  They visit local marketplaces, talk to local families, ride public transportation and enjoy the local food.  Students return with a new found sense of confidence that they can live, travel or work anywhere in the world.   (Click here to see the photos from Summer 2011)
