The Practice of Giving: Volunteering and Stewardship in our Community

This Outside the Walls program is designed to help us understand and apply the real meaning of volunteering and stewardship.

We will participate in activities that will help us to be more empathetic, to hone our leadership skills and to contribute to the community and world around us.

Students will directly engage with non-profit organizations and will learn how to find and promote their own social action or justice projects in the future. It will emphasize how to make the time to volunteer, how to start, and the origin of why so many cultures and religions value the practice of giving.

Please join us if you're passionate about inspiring change and are seeking a physical challenge as we will be volunteering for habitat restoration, making and serving lunch to the homeless, working at a native plant nursery and helping bag special foods for senior citizens.
