What would be one piece of advice to a student entering TMS for the first time?
Have an open mind. The systems used by the school are different, but
very effective.
Is there one experience at TMS that had an impact on your life after TMS?
I found that what I enjoyed and what I was good at were completely
different. I followed my desire to go into engineering and the
strengths that were realized at North Bay Secondary School (TMS) only
helped me more in the professional world.
Did you make friends at TMS with whom you are still friends with today?
I am still in touch with many of the people I knew during my years at
the school.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of TMS?
Focused attention on a successful educational experience.
What have you been doing in the interim?
I have been raising four kids, racing cars, and building model trains.
For the last 14 years I have worked at Micron Technology in Boise,
Idaho building a career in various research and development groups and
receiving 44 U.S. patents thus far.
What are your future plans?
To keep learning.
