What would be one piece of advice to a student entering TMS for the first time?

Embrace everything this school has to offer you, because the type of education you will get here is leaps and bounds above what you would obtain in a public school. Access to such concentrated, focused, individual attention is key to your success and personal growth.

Is there one experience at TMS that had an impact on your life after TMS?

It wasn't so much a particular experience but more of an overall experience. I was in charge of my destiny - it was up to me if I was going to fail or succeed, and being empowered with that responsibility has helped me in the real world. I am in charge of my future and if I don't go after what I want and make it happen, no one else is going to do it for me.

Did you make friends at TMS with whom you are still friends with today?

My closest friends today are people I met at TMS.

What have you been doing in the interim?

For the past 11 years I have been designing interactive graphics and animations for most of the major Hollywood studios. Today I'm working at one of the industry's leading Entertainment & Marketing Agencies in Hollywood as Creative Director where I design and animate for very high profile titles while leading a team of artists. It is very exciting and rewarding but it has been a long road of very hard work. The trick was to set goals early in my career and then never lose sight of them. Take every opportunity that presents itself and work as hard as you can to meet those goals. I guess it was the self-drive and determination that I honed at North Bay (TMS) which helped set the foundation for my future.

What are your future plans?

My future plans are to open my own multidisciplinary design firm and continue servicing the studios.
