Parent Receptions
Our parent receptions are evening events held in the homes of current or alumni TMS families. The receptions offer prospective parents the opportunity to meet current and alumni parents, teachers and administrators in an informal, social setting. The evening includes refreshments and informal dialogue, and a chance to talk with others as they share their experiences at The Marin School. The evening ends with a Q and A session. We encourage prospective parents to join us for one of these lively, engaging events
Open Houses
May 4, 2013 (10 a.m.-noon at our new site in San Rafael)
Open Houses are an opportunity for prospective parents and students to become acquainted with our program, our students and staff. The event includes a tour of the school, sample classes, and an opportunity to interact with members of the TMS community in an informal and enjoyable way. We highly recommend that prospective students and parents attend an Open House.
Student Visits & Interviews
The best way to fully experience life at The Marin School is to participate in a Student Visit. Prospective students will visit classes with a student ambassador and have a chance to interact with other TMS students and faculty. Visits are typically scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. There will be a 10 minute interview with a TMS faculty or staff member at the end of the visit. Student Visits may be scheduled before or after submitting your application. Student Visits for the 2013-2014 school year will begin on October 2, 2012. We will begin taking reservations for visits the week of August 27, 2012.
Parent Tours
Parent tours offer prospective parents an opportunity to learn more about the philosophy of The Marin School and our unique program. Parent Tours are offered at the start of your child's Student Visit or can be scheduled on an individual basis. Plan to spend approximately 30 minutes on your parent tour. Parent Tours for the 2013-2014 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. We will begin taking reservations the week of August 27, 2012.
